About Megg...

Megg Nicol has had a wide and varied career in the music industry not only as a singer-songwriter and performer but also running her own production company, NO LIMIT PRODUCTIONS as well as being a freelance producer for RADIO TWO.

As a performer Megg has starred in four West End Musicals BUDDY, SPIKE MILLIGAN AND FRIENDS, BLOCKHEADS and I’M GETTING MY ACT TOGETHER AND TAKING IT ON THE ROAD including three Royal Command Performances, plus supporting roles in several other musicals.

She has written hundreds of songs for various BBC and ITV series as well as for Radio and Musical Theatre. The most prestigious being the BAFTA award winning series YOUR MOTHER WOULDN’T LIKE IT.

Her first opera THE DRUMMER BOY OF WATERLOO written in collaboration with David Stoll premiered with Jubilee Opera in Aldeburgh in November 2015.

Her musical LITTLE FIR TREE also co-written with David Stoll, was premiered on the 18th December 2018 at Kings Place in London as the highlight of a two month environmental project with LFT Productions, supported by the Woodland Trust.

In 2023 Megg and her creative partner Dr. Jacqui Norton launched The Lyrics, The Music & The Money! a six episode TV series for prisoners about the music industry in 78 HMPs as part of an Arts Council England sponsored project.

During December 2024, Megg’s latest opera libretto, THE QUEST, in collaboration with Nathan Williamson as composer and commissioned by London Youth Opera will have it’s World Premier at The Shaw Theatre in London.
